The fabulous rich-coloured grain on this 5cm thick piece of elm ripples from one end of the table to the other. It is completed with welded steel splayed legs to give it an urban chic edge, and is beautifully finished with eco-friendly semi-matt natural oils and waxes.

If this particular table is no longer available, a similar one can be made-to-order for you, however because each piece of wood is spectacularly different they are, of course, all unique – we will send you a photograph of the table we are crafting for you as your order progresses. You can also choose the tonal finish of the wood, ie. contemporary light-toned look or rich wood-tones (as shown here), as well as the surface finish: matt, semi-matt (as shown here), satin, or gloss.

A maintenance kit is available to keep the finish of your table in tip-top condition.

The inspiration: We do tend to get a bit gushy about wood – but this slab of elm literally jumped out of the shed at the woodyard and into our arms…! The long (carefully resined) shake seems to pierce the centre of the table, with the grain spreading out from its tip – like ripples in a pond, or rings in a galaxy… mmm, I said we got a bit gushy…!
